A brush fire broke out in a Sabre Springs-area canyon on Tuesday, burning close to streets and homes for a time but causing no structural damage. The blaze erupted for unknown reasons about 12:30 p.m. near several intersecting footpaths in an open area off Poway Road and Sabre Springs Parkway, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
