Cop who worked as bodyguard for Katie Price allegedly sent 'racist texts' A cop who worked off-duty as a bodyguard for celebrities including Katie Price is facing the sack after being accused of sending racist texts and sharing a photo of the scene where an Asian man hanged himself. It is claimed London cop Sergeant Ian Wells, 44, who has been pictured guarding Katie Price, Katherine Jenkins and Barry Manilow, sent the messages friends between 2009-11. The father-of-three is also accused of using Met Police intelligence systems to get the name of a suspect who broke into the home of one of his pals. The 6ft 5in Sergeant, who is nicknamed Bluff — which stands for "Big, lazy, ugly, fat f****r" — by friends, faces a gross misconduct hearing. A source told The Sun: “Among the messages was a photo of an Asian man who hanged himself from a tree with a vile and offensive remark accompanying the image." The sergeant is also accused of making racist comments in public and tormenting a sleeping black man on the Tube. The source added: “They are very serious allegations. He will be sacked if any of them is proved.” Sergeant Wells once covered up a busty streaker at a celebrity football tournament at Upton Park, West Ham’s former stadium. The hearing is expected to last until Friday. One of the allegations is Sargeant Wells sent text messages of a sexist and racist nature to persons not employed by the Metropolitan Police Service in 2009. Another is on 31st October 2011, PC Wells sent images of a police intelligence briefing to a person not employed by the Metropolitan Police Service. It is alleged in 2008 or 2009 PC Wells performed an unauthorised check on Metropolitan Police computer systems and provided information to a person not employed by the Metropolitan Police Service. It is also alleged whilst off duty PC Wells made racist comments and behaved in an inappropriate manner in the company of persons not employed by the Metropolitan Police Service.
