Levelling the playing field in education for all children, regardless of age, gender and background. That's what motivated Alina Amir and Arus Education to start Maker Academy - a coding school for undocumented children at Buku Jalanan Chow Kit.
More often than not, undocumented children are not given access to formal education.
The Maker Academy hopes to equip these children with technology skills that will enable them for a better future and bridge the opportunity gap.
The 15 children who attend the classes are taught how to do digital animation, basic gaming programming, electronics and micro-controllers.
