يبذل الشبان الصوماليون جهودا حثيثة لتطوير أنفسهم وتحسين أوضاعهم المعيشية من خلال افتتاح مشاريعهم الخاصة لخلق فرص عمل للشباب بما يسهم في دعم الاقتصاد الوطني ويخفف من نسب البطالة المرتفعة في البلاد، مشيرين إلى أن أبرز ما يواجههم من عقبات هو تقصير الدولة في مساعدتهم ودعمهم لتحسين قدراتهم، بالإضافة إلى تدهور الأوضاع الأمنية في الصومال.
