This video outlines the comic book origins, powers, and history of Annie January AKA Starlight from Amazon's The Boys.

Starlight joins the superhero team The Seven after the previous team member Lamplighter "retires." After that her experinece in the team is pretty horrible. Through chance she meets member of The Boys Hughie, and the two fall in love. Despite the fact that the two have a rocky relationship they end up being the only two members of the two core teams that survive the end conflicts.

Annie ends up being one of the stronger characters in the comics because she is the only one brave enough to not fall into the same trappings that the rest of the heroes do. Its also good to see that she has a happy ending, considering all of the horrible things that happen to her in the comics.
