You can gain much more control over your dataset by learning how to select only a portion of your data for analysis. More than simply splitting the dataset, you can precisely select the criteria for which cases will be chosen. You also choose what will be done with the data: temporarily ignore the unselected cases, create a new dataset, or even delete unwanted data. Together, these selection tools will give you the power to precisely analyze your data to better understand your findings.
