After decades of soldering the PL-259 connector to the braid thru the holes in the PL-259, I have discovered this method, from watching another YouTube video, of attaching the PL-259 to the large size coax like RG-8, 9913, LMR400, etc without having to solder thru the holes to the braid. I think it is much better and makes the expensive PL-259 connectors reusable and after a little experience, I find it faster and safer than soldering to the shield.
