Saligao people have opposed the expansion of Saligao garbage treatment plant. They have stated that they will not allow plastic burning incinerator at Saligao plant. In a public meeting at Saligao, locals have urged government not to make Saligao plant into 'Sonsodo of North Goa' Speaking during the meeting Saligao MLA JayeshSalgaokar has revealed that government is planning to get casino to Nerul. He has stated that they would oppose the move. Stating further Jayesh has disclosed that the file had come to his office while he was minister and he had refused to sign the file.
