HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) - Another case has a Butler County animal shelter asking for some help.
Eleven-year-old lab-mix sisters Cheyanne and Shoney were found running loose on Friday. They have serious health problems, including dermatitis, tapeworms, arrhythmia and hair loss. The shelter will nurse them back to health.
The dogs' owner was found and admits she had kept them primarily secured on her deck, adding she struggled to care for them since the death of her husband seven years ago.
That woman has relinquished her rights to Cheyanne and Shoney and was cited for neglect.
