During a ceremony in the Mayor's City Hall office, Mayor Keith James presented the STAR (Staff Appreciation and Recognition) award to employees who bravely addressed a sanitation truck fire, which resulted in a minor injury to one of the employees, Sanitation Equipment Operator James Parrish. In addition to Parrish, the employees receiving the award included Sanitation Supervisor Patrick Aceti, Sanitation Equipment Operator Randolph Rampersad, and Sanitation Operator Marquelle Reed. They were nominated by Sanitation Superintendent Leon Pinder.
