MACE MILL Mountain Bike trail in Georgetown. This is the first of four videos I'll be doing from the Women's MTB Experience Retreat that I attended in Georgetown. MTB Experience has select events throughout the year for Women only (don't worry guys, I believe they're working on some Co-Ed event).
The Retreat was originally supposed to be Saturday and Sunday but was cut short due to extremely high winds, power outages and fires...
Luckily we got in 4-5 solid rides on Saturday, each video will showcase one of the trails.
The reason I decided to do "Full Pull" or top to bottom for each trail was the lack of videos available for the area. One of the popular topics during the retreat was that a lot of the ladies tried to research/scope out the trails beforehand on Youtube and couldn't find much...especially from an average riders perspective. My hope is that this helps others with that.
California Expeditions is the Shuttle Company that we've used both years, for the Georgetown Retreat, and their crew is top notch. They also provide guided services for people/groups looking for someone to not only drop you off and pick you up but also to show you the trail. The other cool thing is that you can leave your packs and small cooler in the van while you're riding each of the trails. Which brings me to the next point, they take you on multiple shuttles...it's like, "All you can ride," buffet of DH Bliss!!!
