The problem with people afraid that their data is invading their privacy is that they are barely doing anything to protect themselves from it. If you don't want Facebook to have your data then simply just stop using facebook. Nobody is forcing you to give your data over if you don't want to, but then you can't complain about it if you are going to continue using Facebook.
