University of Leicester – Archaeology Students Excavate to Advance Research
University of Leicester student archaeologists have been excavating Bradgate Park in Leicestershire to help understand the park’s 15,000 years of history.

The excavations help us uncover the park’s story, including the story of England’s nine day Queen, Lady Jane Grey.

Students at Leicester have the chance to excavate many different sites to understand the different types of archaeology. Not only will students learn the skills needed to be an archaeologist, they will also be contributing to research in the process.
