3D PRINTED BIKE TITANIUM | CARBON (THE WORLDS FIRST 3D PRINTED LUG FRAME 2012)

3D PRINTED BIKE TITANIUM | CARBON (THE WORLDS FIRST 3D PRINTED LUG FRAME 2012) I builded the VRZ back in 2012 at the time it was the very first bike using additive production processes, At that time 3 D printing was mainly used in Prototyping , Medical and Aerospace with this Project i wanted to show that this Production method is the perfect fit for custom frame building, i think this changed the bike industry a lot, specially frame-builders and smaller bike brands using additive manufacturing for example SLM or other additive processes nowadays successfully.
And Iam still proud to have been the first doing so!
So here is a long version Video of the Building process i have never released on Youtube.

VRZ 2 is a track bike frame with 3d printed TITANIUM lugs glued together with carbon fiber tubes.

this method allows to build custom frames in a short period of time.
you could change the geometry to what everfits you best

The fork is 480 g and the frame weight is 1100 g (for stainless-Carbon Frame)! if we print the lugs in titanium, it will get even lighter.
The printed lugs could also be used with steel or titan tubes!
