Australian heatwave to also affect parts of NZ in early February (28|01|20)

We have even hotter weather coming from this weekend as a heatwave in Australia partially comes our way.

It’s only partial because of stormy weather in the Southern Ocean which will make for windier, cooler and wetter weather around half of the South Island.

We also have some showers in the short term coming for the dry North Island - definitely not enough to reverse the drought/big dry but in some very isolated pockets it may bring a little relief.
