Would you cast into this spot? - Cod fishing with Mark Whitford

It was another morning of waking up before the sun and walking the banks with surface lures and diving lures, and maybe even a spinnerbait or 2. Murray Cod was our main target, with the possible by-catch of a yellowbelly possible. Mark Whitford and I walked quite a few kilometers of river before finding this ripper of a cod hiding in a spot where most people wouldn't even bother casting.

On this occasion the fish absolutely swallowed the lure (making me wish that I had packed some wire cutters to cut the hook) but with the help of Mark we were able to get it swimming fairly quickly without even drawing any blood.
