'15 crore can be heavy on 100 crore': AIMIM's Waris Pathan sparks controversy Waris Pathan, a leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, delivered a controversial speech on Thursday. While addressing a gathering in Karnataka's Kalaburagi, Pathan referred to the 2002 Gujarat riots, and the recent shooting incidents at Delhi's Shaheen Bagh and near Jamia Millia Islamia university. While speaking on the anti-Citizenship Act protests being led by women in many parts of the country, Pathan said that only lionesses had come out for now. He followed up by saying that 15 crore can be heavy on 100 crore, an apparent reference to the populations of the Muslim and Hindu communities in India.
