Single mothers face a continuous culture of shame in Japan. For this interview, we meet a single mother who gave birth out of wedlock and is currently working as a model. We get an in-depth look at her struggles with depression and suicide, and how this affected her relationship with her daughter. Special thanks to Ayano for sharing her story.
