A Tennessee man was immediately arrested after allegedly lighting up a joint in a court room in front of a judge.

Spencer Boston, 20, was to appear in General Sessions Court in Lebanon, Tennessee, on Monday on a simple drug possession charge.

He was arrested and charged with possession for a second time after deciding to use his time at the podium to allegedly smoke a joint in a push for legalization.

Boston is reported to have started speaking on new marijuana legislation but decided to get his point across more bluntly by sparking up. He was quickly removed from the courtroom and placed under arrest.

The sheriff office's video footage of the incident shows Boston reaching the podium in front of Judge Haywood Barry and reaching into his pocket to take out what appears to be a rolled marijuana cigarette. He places the cigarette in his mouth and and lights it with a box of matches.

The cigarette is reported to have given off the smell of burning marijuana and people behind Boston can be seen moving away.

Officers can also be seen quickly moving to arrest Boston and remove him from the courtroom in a joint effort through the cloud of smoke.

'One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen,' Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan told WTVF, adding that many in the court burst out laughing when they saw what was happening.

According to Wilson County court documents, Boston is being charged with disorderly conduct and a second charge of simple possession of marijuana, a Schedule VI drug.

Boston was also hit with ten days in jail for contempt of court.

His bond was set at $3,000, the New York Post reports.
