Calls for action as Tasmania's rental squeeze extends beyond the major cities | ABC News New figures reveal the rental squeeze in Tasmania is now being felt outside major cities.

State Government figures show Hobart rental prices increased by 21 per cent from March 2013 to March 2018.

The lack of affordability has prompted the tenants' union to call for legislated rent controls.
