Coronavirus outbreak: Russian expat documents Wuhan evacuation preparations amid lockdown

A Russian expat living in Wuhan, the epicentre of the novel coronavirus outbreak, documented the preparations for his evacuation from the lockdown city in China.

Vladimir Markov, a dual Russian-Dutch national living in Wuhan for three months, posted videos on social media showing him getting health-checked, gathering groceries, and walking through the empty streets of the city to catch a bus provided by the Russian embassy to the airport.

Markov told Reuters that the situation was "quite scary."
