Most people think that in order to lose weight you need to do a lot of physical exercise. This is far from the truth. Don't get me wrong, I am all for working out. I do so myself, but this is just one way to shed pounds. The other has to do with your lifestyle and mainly your nutrition: what you eat and how you eat it.

You can lose weight without exercise. People have done it before you and will do so in the future. You just need to make a lifestyle change and it can happen to you as well.

Here are some tips to lose weight fast:

1. Take your food with you to work - More often than not, those quick lunches we grab during our break at work aren't the best for you. Restaurants don't have your health at the top of their interest. They want to make money so they often use the cheapest ingredients which are also often unhealthy. Make your food at home at take it to work with you.

2. Change what you drink. Drinking coca-cola or any other soda, as well as too much sweetened tea or sugared coffee can really pack on the calories. Water or a freshly squeezed juice are excellent alternatives. Not only are they healthy but they will help you lose weight as well.

3. Be active without exercising - Even if you don't have the time to workout, you can still be active. Climb some stairs instead of taking the elevator, stretch a few times during the day, walk when you used to drive etc. All these things can help to burn more calories. You won't even feel that you're working out while doing them.

4. Avoid stress - Anxiety and stress have been linked to weight gain. If you can create a calm environment for you at work and home, the pounds will melt away much faster. Don't let anything stress you out. Calm yourself and lose weight.

5. Eat more small meals each day - This doesn't mean to eat more overall but if you eat 4-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones, your body will handle the food better, your metabolism will be higher, and you will burn calories faster.
