Ski Mountaineering - Odell Gully to Tuckerman Ravine

While the East may not be known as a ski destination, there are numerous opportunities for skiers to break into alpine terrain and test their skills. One of the most common ski mountaineering linkups is to climb ice in Huntington Ravine, tag the summit, and ski the classic Tuckerman Ravine. After months of dreaming, days of tracking the snowpack and a few hours of driving, Luke and I were able to try out this beautiful link up under bluebird skies. #skithewhites #skitheeast #mountwashington
