We're well past the Jones vs Reyes fight and the scoring behind it with Jam Blachowicz defeating Corey Anderson in impressive fashion in their full fight at UFC Rio Rancho this past saturday MMA fans. But still the problems that plagued UFC 247 and other events continue to linger as fans and pundits continue to argue about the score and wanting a Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes immediate rematch. A rematch that would set a precedent of a non champion fighter getting an immediate championship rematch without a contender being injured or the fighter having a draw.
Pundits from Ariel Helwani, Joe Rogan, analyst at ESPN MMA etc all having differing opinions on the matter doesn't help and fighters even like Max Holloway/Conor McGregor/Donald Cerrone/etc having differing ideas as well. Maybe it's time to put everything out in the public arena and commissions to finally do something about the fractured scoring systems.
