Andrew Yang dropped out of the 2020 Democratic presidential race on the night of the New Hampshire primary. “You know I am the math guy, and it is clear tonight from the numbers that we are not going to win this race,” Yang said. “I am not someone who is going to accept donations and support in a race that we will not win, and so tonight I am announcing that I am suspending my campaign for president.” The 45-year-old entrepreneur and first-time presidential candidate ran on his signature idea of giving every American adult a universal basic income of $1,000 a month.
