Alexandra Hospital using robot technology to inspect COVID-19 patients in isolation

Alexandra Hospital using robot technology to inspect COVID-19 patients in isolation In a first for Singapore, Alexandra Hospital will be using robot technology to inspect COVID-19 patients in isolation to minimise the risk of exposure for healthcare workers. The robot will make its rounds in the two isolation wards there, allowing healthcare professionals to inspect patients remotely. They will make use of the robot's camera and eye-safe laser pointer to observe and make diagnoses. Meanwhile, the hospital has also launched a pilot telemedicine and virtual consultation service for elderly patients with chronic but stable diseases.
