Stone and Spook color sand their little hearts out on Schutte's 1972 Karmann Ghia. We typically spend upwards of 20 hours on color sanding. (This one's a bit less because it's a partial restoration.) The goal is to flatten the paint pre-polish because if there are flaws in the paint finish, they will show up 100x more once the clear coat of polish is added on top.
