Me and the boys landed ourselves a placement opportunity in Bundaberg Queensland at Monsoon Aquatics where they collect, store, culture and sell a variety of decorative sea life! Seeing as the fishing in Queensland is phenomenal, we chose to fish and film every dusk after work and the results were spectacular! Flathead of this size are rarely caught from land in Adelaide and fishing in this style with soft plastics was living the dream. Catching estuary cod on lure was an amazing feel for me personally as they were a childhood fish for me in Perth where I caught one on a live crab.
THE OTHER EXOTIC SPECIES WE FOUND WERE BEAUTIFUL!!!
A special shout to Jeff and the other staff from Monsoon Aquatics who took care of us, trained us for work and gave us local tips on fishing the area.
On another note, the food at local pubs was excellent and I will surely take a flight back next time!!
