Installation Steps:
1) Wash area of the vehicle where the hood deflector will be installed.
2) Install hood inserts into the correct locations under the hood.
3) Put the plastic washers onto the metal screws.
4) Hold the deflector up to the hood inserts and get the screws started into the holes.
5) While pushing the crease of the deflector into the crease of the hood, tighten the screws down.
6) Slowly lower the hood and make sure that it can be closed without too much force.
7) Install the 'bump on' pieces between the hood and the deflector if you choose to.
8) Please recycle your WeatherTech box and manual after installation.
WeatherTech notes that if the hood will not close after installation, the 'hood bumper' or 'bumper stop' may need to be adjusted. I did not have this issue but it was a snug fit when closing the hood.
Please don't hesitate to comment below if you have any questions or concerns about the installation process or where to purchase the item. I am more than happy to help.
Apologies for the audio quality as it was a windy day and I had to use high pass filters and alter the sound to make it somewhat bearable. I am also getting over a cold so you may hear me breathing heavily at times. Hopefully, this will be the first of many videos to come regarding my Toyota 4Runner and my huskies, Kodiak and Sadie. Please subscribe or like the video if you want more and please feel free to provide any suggestions for future videos.
