DEVOTIONAL || 'STILL SINGLE? DON'T FRET!' - 1CO 7:5 NKJV "STILL SINGLE? DON'T FRET!" - 1CO 7:5 NKJV

When we as believers, are still single, while others are married… some can become anxious or concerned that we will possibly never come to experience the blessing of being a spouse.  We see happily married couples (at least seemingly happy), and think to ourselves "Will I ever meet my soulmate?" or "How long will I have to wait for my man or woman from God?" It seems like we're doing something wrong in our lives, because "God didn't send him/her, in our direction, YET!  But God, in His infinite Wisdom, thought of everything concerning the matter of being single. Firstly, God says: It is good to be single. In fact, it's a blessing from God (see 1CO 7:7-8 NKJV).  God is saying, that just like some may have the gift of marriage, there are some that have the gift of singleness.  Both situations are a gift. While on the other hand, if we cannot control our temporal urges, then it's best to marry: rather than be condemned (v.9).  Some believers serve God better as a team, and it's safe to assume that our Father put them together, for the kingdom of Heaven. To carry out His will!  Believe it or not, there are some [even today] who have been single their entire lives… and this doesn't bother them either way. One great example of a single woman who had no husband (ever) is Mary Magdalene.  Her only obligation was to Jesus after he freed her from her demons. Why was she not concerned about being yoked in marriage? Because believers like her have come to the realization that "I'm about my Father's business," and that's that!  Being concerned about getting married or "hooking up," is of no importance whatsoever. So you see, we as single believers in Christ have God's best intentions,in both scenarios. God has us in mind and our blessings shall be answered with or without a spouse.  We should be honored to serve our Father single or not! We're all winners in Christ Jesus.

AMEN, AND DO HAVE A WONDERFULLY BLESSED DAY/EVENING IN CHRIST 🌹
