Following the reveal of a six camera configuration last week, HTC is confirming some more details of its forthcoming headset which is said to have “modular” capabilities and a flip up design. Those details are summed up in the above image provided by HTC which promises a frame rate of 90 for Vive Cosmos alongside the panel resolution and improvements to image clarity. We’ve yet to go hands-on with the headset but it is supposed to arrive in Q3 of this year. Vive Cosmos is PC-powered first but may have other modes of operation. At CES in January, for instance, HTC hinted the headset might be able to be powered by a phone.
