BFS compared to standard baitcasting gear scale down to match baits

BFS compared to standard baitcasting gear scale down to match baits just a quick comparison video to show anyone not familiar with bfs what to expect in casting distances with smaller baits...
i consider bfs gear really a scaled down version of regular gear..
it doesn't mean the rods or reels are going to be smaller... although they can be...
bfs rods and reels are made to throw smaller and lighter versions of basically the same baits we throw with regular gear..
so naturally you can't expect to get the same distances with these smaller scaled down baits..
so as you see in the video i can throw a half ounce rattletrap or lipless crank a long ways with a standard combo.
i can get about half that distance with a 1/8oz, lipless crank on my bfs combo which is what you would expect..
some anglers i think plan on getting a bfs combo and assume they'll be able to cast a 1/16oz. bait as far as they do 1/2oz. baits with standard baitcasters...
