Eric is known as the "Trials Master" meaning that he is in charge of all decisions for this event. Before the event, he's in charge of making sure we have permission to use the site for the event, setting all the difficulty lines for the competitors, ensuring the motorcycle trail to get to all the competition sections is clear. During the event, he's in charge of making sure there are enough people to score each section (and that they have enough food and water for the 5-hour event), making sure someone is assigned to take money for gate entrance and camping fees, rider expectation/safety meeting prior to the event, final decisions on any section complaints from riders, and so much more.
If you'd like to just watch for the tutorial portion, skip ahead to about 7:38. Eric goes over how to incorporate different classes in a section, how to not go "gate crazy" but still build the section you want, how to clean a section for a professional look, among other topics. Short, sweet, to the point, but very educational.
Feel free to ask any questions on trials or setting up an event in the comments below. I'll respond to all of them :)
