Some of us think that reading the Bible has no effect on us and that is just not true when I read the Bible something inside of me changes, my heart starts to shift. Hate turns to compassion. Hurt turns to forgiveness. Stress turns to peace. The reason that people say it has no effect on them is because they don't believe it or they don't want to receive it. In my case I'm just so desperate for love and I'm not afraid to admit it: I am desperate for Jesus! I open up my heart to receive what his word has to say. When I read the Bible it makes me look at myself....like really look at myself. My attitudes and my thoughts on how I view the world changes and we get glimpse of how Jesus sees the world and I've noticed that the more time I spend with the Lord, the more I realize that time is short. Life is so short and our time is flying. We have no time to be messing around. Time is very short and people need to get right with God. Sin is what separates us from the Lord, but I'm telling you now just those steps of praying throughout your day and seeking God word's and surrendering you'll get far and you will be filled. He sees that you're not giving up. He sees that you are seeking Him. He is not turning a blind eye he sees everything that you do. Don't lose hope because you might think that you're wasting your time being good, when you could be having fun but the wrong way, in a pool of sin. Hey I was like that too I literally had that same mindset, thinking man if I wasn't saved I'd be doing this or that BUT I realized that I rather have that time to start building myself up in God's word cause I'm gonna need it. 20 AUG 19
