While many players will never touch a server, and will only play by themselves or with friends, servers have had an incredible influence over the game, and many have shaped the way we play Minecraft today. Sure, some people just play the standard way, but the incredible work that server creators and members put into their communities has changed the way we view and play not just Minecraft, but all video games. I know that sounds ridiculous, but hear me out. While many people seem to have forgotten, Minecraft was the first Battle Royale, and without it, the genre likely wouldn’t exist.
