How a TUAE stainless steel thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) works | Working animation

This short animation shows you how a Danfoss TUAE stainless steel thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) works, including how the bulb sensor and spring work together to control the refrigerant feed to the evaporator based on the superheat.

The animation demonstrates the process in six steps:

1. As the bulb pressure increases, the diaphragm moves down
2. As spring pressure increases, the valve opens
3. Refrigerant can now flow through to the evaporator
4. If bulb pressure decreases again, the diaphragm moves up
5. Spring pressure decreases, and the valve closes
6. Refrigerant can no longer flow through the valve
