Amway was founded in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay VanAndel. Rich and Jay became lifelong friends in high school. Shared goals and ambitions, as well as numerous ventures into entrepreneurship, led the friends to start a new business together in the basements of their
homes.

They built Amway.

Amway is now a global company with Independent Business Owners operating in more than 100 countries and territories.

The current Co-Chairs of the Amway Board of Directors are Doug DeVos (son of Rich DeVos) and Steve Van Andel (son of Jay Van Andel). Reporting directly to, as well as holding a seat on
the board, is Chief Executive Officer Milind Pant. Leading the overall management of Amway, Mr. Pant is responsible for setting the company’s strategic vision as well as growth strategies.
