Kiran Mazumdar, Sambit Patra Join News Today With Rajdeep Veteran Industrialist Rahul Bajaj at an award function in Mumbai said there was an "atmosphere of fear" and people were afraid to criticise the government and do not have the confidence that the government will appreciate any criticism. The audience included Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman among others.
Chairperson and Managing Director of Biocon Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw also joined the chorus, with her tweet stating the government is treating corporate India like 'Pariahs'.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman speaking in Lok Sabha reacted to industrialist Rahul Bajaj's Intolerance remark on the Modi government. Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Modi government listens to criticisms and is ready to respond to it.
