A puppy that can't walk and a pigeon that can’t fly have forged an unlikely friendship at a rescue centre in New York. While they may not be mobile, their story has travelled around the world, after it was shared online by The Mia Foundation, which helps rehabilitate animals with birth defects.
Lundy the puppy and his pigeon pal Herman enjoy cuddling up together.
Lundy can’t use his hind legs, while Herman is believed to suffer from a neurological condition.
The duo have their own Instagram profile, where the Mia Foundation share pictures of "the world’s favourite Chihuahua and pigeon".
