In this tutorial you will learn about setting up your preferred unit system in design modeler. You will also learn about setting the large model support. By default, you can create model up to 500 meters in all three dimensions. With large model support you can create model up to 0.5 million meters or 500 kilometers in all dimensions.
What if your model is also larger than 500 kilometers? In this case create model 100 times or 1000 times smaller in design modeler and after generating mesh and importing into Fluent, you can scale up model by same factor.
For example if you model is 5000 kms in all directions. In this case create model of approx 5 kms in each direction. Thereby you are reducing each dimension by 1000, After generating mesh, import that model in fluent and now scale up that model by factor of 1000 in Fluent.
