When I read that a 39-year-old father of three was sentenced to 12 YEARS in prison for having a cell phone on him after being incarcerated on a misdemeanour, I thought it had to be fake news. It's not fake news. It's an egregious injustice that needs the scrutiny of the public spotlight.
