Derivative Citizenship

If you have children under the age of 18 and you become a naturalized citizen, as long as those children are under 18 years old the day of your naturalization, they will also become citizens.

Once this derivative citizenship happens, you should file an N-600 to re-iterate to USCIS that your children are now citizens and take away the confusion.
